Skully — After 3 weeks of tough gaming we finally have our sweet 16, the 16 nations that will compete to decide the best TF2 nation in Europe (and USA). Tonight starts the knockout stages, with 3 games happening tonight, stay up to date with VanillaTV as we will be casting one and (hopefully) providing STVs for the other two. Fresh off an impressive ending to their group stages, Russia looks to keep their momentum going as they take on the tough challenge of  Sweden. Russia’s only lost one game in the group stages, and that was against potential finalists  Israel. However the Swedes have yet to drop a map, giving up just 7 points in 6 maps and 5-0′ing half of their maps. With no Badlands in the maps tonight (As the Russians eliminated it first), the Russians look to have a good chance with the maps being played. As Granary and Gullywash will be the 2 maps tonight (with Snakewater as the decider if needed). On paper, the Swedes look the favorite with the likes of Zebbosai, voted Solider of season 12, Beavern on scout and (providing he doesn’t drop many ubers) TheSucker. The entire Swedish team is stacked with past and present talent, however the Russians have team history to go with. And with the combo of Whiteglow on medic (who loves to use kritz more as his medi-gun) and the impressive demo GDK, can the Russians provide a shock this early in the knockout stages?
