Pledge — The wait is over. After a long summer of TF2 action, drama, gossip and players switching teams, it’s finally time to kick things off! Tonight sees the first coverage of ETF2L’s new season of 6v6 TF2 action. While all the Premiership teams have their games scheduled for Thursday, the first Division 1 teams are kicking it off tonight. On one hand we have International Secret Intelligence Service duking it out against TwistedPlay, but the game up for display tonight will be the one with the second Russian team in Division 1. uV Gaming will face off against the Naughty Badmen on the week 1 maps Badlands and Gullywash. With both teams barely missing out on a spot in the Premiership last week, surely they will be the looking to bounce back with a win against one of their main rivals for the title. Simple question is though, who will start at the top and who will find themselves at the bottom of the table after the first week?

uV Gaming won their Premiership Playoff game against ALUMINUM quite convincingly, but lost out on the prem spot by losing to the Chinese Mafia in a best-of-three. While in the first game against ALUMINUM everything looked perfect and smooth from the Russians, they made mistake after mistake when I watch them play against the quad train. Not totally surprising was it to me when the most vocal person on the roster, Ordinator, suddenly left the team. Details are not known to me, but he has a reputation of raging during games when things don’t really go their way. One can only assume that’s what happened during the final playoff game.

A replacement was quickly found though, as Blade , a known Soldier in the mid-to-high divisions of TF2, stepped up the plate and played with them for the past days. In a practice game against Team Sweden, Blade and his new team mates managed to beat the Swedes 6-5 on Snakewater, a very impressing result even though it was a practice game. The Russians are looking good going into this game, and I don’t think the loss of Ordinator is going to play a big role in this. Badlands might form an issue though, as it’s known to be the worst map for uV. Maybe the addition of the Ukrainian Soldier will create some new life into the stale play on their middles. If the enemies are unprepared for the Kritzkrieg from Medic Whiteglow, I’m sure the Russians could win Gullywash here, even though Badlands might be a massive problem.

Naughty Badmen seems ready to go this season of ETF2L. Their display in the first playoff round against Chinese Mafia was impressive, narrowly losing out with 3-4 on both Badlands and Snakewater, while winning Granary 3-1. The Soldier combination of Larsa and Haunter is one to fear, as a lot of fragging power plus the calling abilities from Haunter will prove very worthy in this game again. Combine that with the very talented Portuguese Scout Kiler4Fun and the experience from his partner Coinz and you got one of the most solid teams in all of TF2. After last season’s fourth place finish in Division 1, I’m sure that they will be looking to qualify for the Premiership in Season 14. No real drama or gossip to go with this team, they have been solid through the past month without any real issues. They will be prepared for tonight’s game and if they managed to take Gullywash out of the Russians’ hands, their start of Season 13 will be phenomenal.

So, to find out who gets a good start and who will lose out on the first points tonight, all you have to do is tune in to VanillaTV tonight! The game is set to start at 21.15 CEST, with the standard ABC Tuesday team of AcidReniX , Beta and Comedian ready to rock ‘n roll!
