Thought you were done with casts of cp_process? Not so – come next week we’ll be trawling Div 6 for fixtures just to keep that American flavour around for a bit longer. Tonight’s Week 5 meeting of
Lutuset and
/
uV Ninjas once again should set the stage for failed roll-outs and mixing up of “computer room” and “sewers” calls.
Complementing this season’s newest map will be the mainstay of pickup games throughout the world, cp_badlands, a map which underlines the differing fortunes of the two teams so far. Lutuset’s Week 6 performance against
Naughty Badmen (now known as myDGB.net) may have turned up a close 2-3 golden cap loss on Badlands, but that is rather less convincing than uV’s 5-0 victory over myDGB on the same map. In light of these contrasting results, we should expect uV to have the edge in tonight’s second half.
As a result of
TwistedPlay folding, Lutuset’s are now without a win so far this season, making do with a host of draws and a single loss. They will have to start strongly on Process and hope that they can ride their luck through the aggressive play by uV on Badlands.

uV have two games under their belt so far, with the aforementioned game against myDGB ending in a draw, and then a straightforward victory over
Elemental Violence in Week 2. If you recall, it was the latter of these fixtures where we first saw the play of mysterious uV superstar
CommanderX, whose incredible airshots swung the clutch encounters uV’s way. With
Forsak3n struggling to find a sixth man for tonight after the departure of
Hitman, it may be a chance for a second showing for CX, or any hopefuls spamming “trial mix merc” in IRC.

While the results so far clearly mark uV as favourites, Lutuset should not be discounted lightly, as their record shows consistent performances against the other offerings of Div 1. With the Finns on their third night of officials in a row, you can be sure they are in the right mindset for a fight.
Catch the game tonight on VanillaTV, starring
Admirable as himself, Question Mark as shadowy second caster, and
huhy revealing who hasn’t watched his roll-out demonstrations yet with the camera.

Mystery caster ReveaLed
- # - nice! +5Reveral was a sick caster, that’s exactly what vanillatv needs, a caster that;
1) is paying attention to things happening
2) has confidence in what he says
3) knows the game and plays in a high level of tf2
4) has a smaller penis / is jewish
are you volunteering? :D
- # - nice! +0not really, I’m too afraid I’ll have to cast with byte D;
- # - nice! +6I agree on the small penis
- # - nice! +1no cx, no win
- # - nice! +5Reveral did a nice job! Have him in future as well
- # - nice! +6ReveaL had a lot of knowledge about the div and the players so he was great for the cast. Very insightful etc.
The major difference between reveraL and the usual casters is that he spotted things like Santtu going Spy and people flanking a lot earlier. I got the impression he was a little nervous and didn’t say as much as he wanted to/could have, but other than that I’d like to see him cast regularly. Well done rev!
On the first map i was a little nervous and was afraid to make some english mistakes :p
After my timeout i came back and tried to do better.
Tnx for the positive feedback ;]

- # - nice! +0ReveraL was cool but as already said a million times above, he should have spoken more.
The fact that his mic is kinda shitty and the volume was low IMO contributed much to belittled his role.
- # - nice! +2I’d like to see more top player co casters, it will help with the caster shortage as you only need a main play by play caster. It will also help in maybe encouraging some players to be casters or consider offering services more often. And its good to have someone that plays against the teams as they will have better knowledge and more to talk about.
