Greg — The Highlander Showmatch featuring the top 3 teams in European Team Fortress is taking place tonight at the earlier time of 20 CEST and with the classes chosen by the TF2 community it should be a night of fun, sprinkled with seriousness thanks to the generous prize dontation of £500, £450 going towards the match and £50 up for grabs via a viewer competition, this game has so many reasons for you to tune in live with VanillaTV’s CommanderX and a special guest.   Arie will be providing streaming for VTV tonight!

Trell — We’re bringing you a super fast cast tonight – as Team Infused take on nonamefound (aka TCM, aka Byte’s Team) in the 5th round of the Upper Bracket in the Velociraptor Cup.  Only 1 map, which will be cp_gullywash, and  Byte was quoted as saying “Infused will win 5-0″ – mind games or defeatism?

Trell — Angels Cup action continues tonight, with the Lower Bracket rounds 6 and 7 being played.  Providing both games start on time, tonights action will consist of Byte’s team vs Crack Clan and qn vs UV (both games on cp_freight), then the winner of each facing off against each other on cp_croissant.

We have seen Byte’s team get trounced by Crack Clan, and qn beat uV in a tense golden cap match.  This means our final game of tonight is a BO1 on cp_croissant between Crack Clan and qn in the Lower Bracket Final to see who progresses in Angels Cup.

Casting tonight will be provided by the superstar  Greg and the ever bubbly  Admirable, with  Warden streaming.  Make sure to tune in from 20 CEST onwards!

Trell — We are now live!   Warden streaming and  Pledge casting – tune in now!

Greg — The EsportsHeaven Angels Cup is starting to draw to a close we are down to the final six teams and with 750 Euros on the line for the winning team its time to take a look at the remaining games.

The Upper Bracket Semi-Final between  Epsilon and  Crack Clan has yet to be played, due to unavailability last Thursday, which means that the game needs to be played by this coming Thursday - rumours are circling that it will be played Wednesday 18th. This match is a repeat of the ETF2L Playoff Semi-Final, where we saw Epsilon win in two maps, however both teams have had a short post playoff break and as such will be slightly rusty going into this game, stay tuned to VanillaTF2 and VanillaTV to see who will take advantage of the timing and progress to face Infused in the Upper Bracket Final.

The lower bracket restarts off on Thursday 19th, with Lower Round 6 on cp_freight and Lower Round 7 on cp_crossaint, these two maps may add a spanner to the works of the remaining teams that are looking to progress in the competition, but before we review these up coming matches lets take a look at the bracket.

beef — After keeping everyone waiting for 2 weeks in true team fortress fashion, the top Division 1 teams, SNSD and  Colony, are set to go head-to-head tonight at 21:00 CET! The match will be covered live by VanillaTV with  Hildreth and  Agro casting, and  Comedian streaming.

This is probably the most ‘classic’ matchup in competitive tf2 with the first issue going back to a ladder game in August 2010, finishing in a close draw. It’s interesting to note that the current line-up for Colony differs only in 2 places, while SNSD’s line-up has changed in all but 3. Since then these teams have developed a habit of meeting each other in finals with SNSD coming up on top, and Colony developing a forever second syndrome. Some players to watch will be Colony’s  furbo known for his sneaky scouting and SNSD’s  Kaidus making his Highlander debut or  Linus and  Zoob, probably the best soldiers in Highlander.

To mark the first clash of these 2 titans in S2, there will be a competition for the stream viewiers to compete in. The goal is to guess how far each team gets in their first attacking round, and how long it took them (MM:SS). A whopping £25 prize will go to the viewer who submits the closest time for both teams, to enter just comment on this post on VanillaTF2.

Trell — Gamers Assembly kicks off this afternoon featuring the best of the french scene and beyond with  Epsilon eSports returning to the french LAN circuit for the first time since their grand final defeat to  ButtonBashers at MaxLan 2011. Whilst clear favourites, the super-mix featuring  Crack Clan titans  longas and  pescanova ‘ Viva la Vida‘, and home-town heroes  Punchline.  TF2 will have upsets on their minds as they look to take advantage of the weakened Epsilon roster on the way to claiming their share of a prize pot including €2000, with masses of hardware on top.

Update: Congratulations to Epsilon eSports for taking first place, after beating Viva la Vida in an intense 2 map game with a golden cap after it ended 3-3 on freight.  Thanks to  Warden for streaming, and  Admirable,  CommanderX,  Greg and  Pledge for handling casting duties over the past 2 days.

Trell — As The Lich from Dota 2 would say after a failed ultimate, ‘Not my best work!’ and this phrase is rather apt for tonight.  This post itself is a little late due to finding a team to cast, and secondly, it’s going to be VERY light on information – until we know the seeds for the games tonight, we can’t actually let we know what we’ll be casting!

Suffice to say, what I CAN tell you right now is that our team will consist of  Warden on the stream, with  Admirable and  CommanderX casting.  Also, I know that coverage will start from roughly 20 CEST onwards.
