Alas, there was no epic, secret Upwards strategy on display as  SNSD reached the final of the ETF2L Community Highlander Challenge with the losers,  May Contain Nuts going into the Bronze final. There is still the small matter of deciding which team goes through for a chance to win the shiniest of Gold medals and which team will go into the Bronze final spending every waking moment reminiscing on what might have been if they got that medic kill.

Join Sheridyn, Hildreth and  Comedian as TF2TV bring you the second ETF2L Highlander semi-final between Colony and Twisted Play. Being one of the pre-tournament favourites, Finnish powerhouse Colony have managed to trudge their way to the last 4 with a few hiccups (Don’t mention E rush on Steel to these boys). Despite this much of the tournament Colony has looked the real deal, using their superior teamwork to overcome all challenges.

Whether their teamwork will be enough to deal with the might of Twisted Play Circlejerk/Butt Abs/Naval Warfare – whatever they call themselves these days – is the big question tonight. Fresh from an Epic.Lan, TP/CJ/BA/NW have filled their roster with some of the best eligible competitive players around the European community. Colony can take hope from the maps being played on Public orientated maps, with the elimination process leaving Goldrush and Steel with Badwater as a potential decider.

hiho all!

Tonight is the second day for La competitf & Angel‘s Ultiduo Cup #4 and so Quarter-, Semi-Finals and Grand-Final will be played. You can see the full brackets here.

TF2TV will cast these games, so let’s have a look what we will watch tonight!

At first we will watch how finnish pair cookye and Nanne will face with american duo blackymonster +  clockwork, who are actually the champions of 3rd Ultiduo Cup.

Unfortunately team ORLY can’t play tonight their quarter-final with GIANTS (note that these opponents have met twice in Finals and so Giants at this moment are the champions of 1st and 2nd Ultiduo Cups), so we will watch semi-final between Giants and the winner of hocz+kyynel vs.  LinKin+pRm.

And then the Grand-Final, where the winner will grab another 100$ of cash-prize!

DroSo was so lazy that he even hasn’t made a post about playing these days  InsaLAN @ Rennes, France. But I have some free minutes, so let’s have a look! :)

InsaLAN has a Team Fortress 2 tournament with 10 teams participating (actually there were 16 slots for TF2 teams). It seems that in this case prize-fund will be next (according to this):

• 1st: 330€ + 6 Thermaltake PC cases
• 2nd: 390€
• 3rd: 270€

There are some good line-ups who can compete for the 1st place:  Mystix,  NITROSE and  BLAST probably will meet each other in play-offs. The full team list is next:

The changelog:

* Removed water on last cp
* Removed second set of doors on last cp
* Moved resup kabinets back on cp1
* Modified the left entrance when attacking last cp (the round balcony thing)
* Fixed the spawn room class switch bug
* Removed the top ring of last cp
* Fixed the non solid garage door
* Fixed the little micro-edge on red side cp2
* Fixed the doors on cp2
* Moved medium medpack on balcony to the pillar (cp2)
* Added light on red cp2
* Fixed being able to stand behind glass ring on last cp
* Fixed various other visual and gameplay bugs

Hey guys, just wanted to post up a little news for those of you who don’t regularly read the ETF2L forums. Myself and a few other have just last week restarted #pixeltf2.pickup. For anyone unaware, the channel was originally started sometime in summer last year, but ended up fading away into a bottomless pit of inactivity due to a number of issues. However recently there has been quite a lot of interest in reviving the channel and thanks to an initial offer from Huhy, followed by some great help from Waebi, Buffalo Bill and CanFo, we’ve got the channel up and active again and are making sure to learn from our mistakes. Infact, here’s just how active it is:

• 398 Players invited
• 157 Pickups in the last 8 days
• That’s roughly 22 pickups per day!
• Multiple occasions where there has been 3 pickups running simultaneously
• 3.1GB of SourceTV demos
• 55GB of bandwidth used by TF2 servers alone

Only 8 teams remain in the Highlander Community Challenge! Tonight TF2TV will be bringing you two of the games from the quarter finals of the cup stage, so expect some heated competition as the big names clash head-to-head! Sheridyn and Comedian will be bringing you all the action tonight, as we see a return to the classic highlander maps gravelpit and badwater (with viaduct as a decider).

In related news, Monday night will see the remaining four teams in the quarter finals duke it out, as Badmen Enterprise take on May Contain Nuts, and Lokalen Alpha battle with TPlay.Circlejerk. Stay tuned for more information!

This evening, TF2 TV will cover Esports Heaven’s One Night Wonder 7. They will start at round 1, and keep on casting until they run out of breath! Your hosts of the evening: The lovely David and Comedian.

The cast kicks off at 20:00 CET (soon), with Enixe vs Core Gaming. Enixe won Division 3 last season, while Core Gaming remained in Division 2, so this match has all the potential to be good! After that, the broadcast team will select an interesting match for round 2, and so on.
