Trell — Gamers Assembly kicks off this afternoon featuring the best of the french scene and beyond with  Epsilon eSports returning to the french LAN circuit for the first time since their grand final defeat to  ButtonBashers at MaxLan 2011. Whilst clear favourites, the super-mix featuring  Crack Clan titans  longas and  pescanova Viva la Vida‘, and home-town heroes  Punchline.  TF2 will have upsets on their minds as they look to take advantage of the weakened Epsilon roster on the way to claiming their share of a prize pot including €2000, with masses of hardware on top.

Update: Congratulations to Epsilon eSports for taking first place, after beating Viva la Vida in an intense 2 map game with a golden cap after it ended 3-3 on freight.  Thanks to  Warden for streaming, and  Admirable,  CommanderX,  Greg and  Pledge for handling casting duties over the past 2 days.

Trell — Insalan 7 draws to a close today as we see the TF2 Grand Final being played at 14 CET.  BLAST have already booked their spot in the final, coming top of their group, and ploughing through their 3 bracketed games.  Todays first game is the losers bracket final between Energetic and LDLC.com.  The winner of this moves on to face the tournament favourites, BLAST, and take a shot at winning the first prize of 660€ + 6 Logitech Keyboards G510 (value: 720€).

Update: VODs of the Final:

UPDATE: LDLC won the first map, Gullywash 5-0, and went on to with Viaduct with a golden cap – a much closer game that Energetic came very close to winning.  This sets up a grand final match up between BLAST and LDLC!

The season is here and its return has brought about team name and roster changes with a multitude of players returning from soaking in the sun.
