Help Crack Clan seduce Twitch John

April 22nd Announcement
Tagged: crack clan stream twitch

Admirable — Over at Castle Crack we are always concocting hare-brained schemes to raise those elusive LAN funds. We’ve developed a myriad of income streams that have Wall Street clamouring for our attention, but we would never sell out to those fat cats.

We started out trying to deliver some Premiership level content, albeit intermittently, but thankfully the response from the community was good. So the next challenge was “How can we convert that in to sending TviQ to Telford?” I mean you wouldn’t believe the cost of an international nanny for five days!

On our portal at crackclan.com Google Ads trickle a few pennies in to our coffers, although significantly less when I don’t bother my arse to keep writing battle reports and content. More recently you might have noticed the revival of our YouTube channel and the launch of the Crack Clan Store, again more ruthless attempts to cash in on your love for all things Crack Clan.

So continuing on this theme of transparency, I’d like to ask you all to lend me your cursors and help Crack Clan get partnered on Twitch. As you may be aware, the benevolent Twitch John often bends over backwards to support Team Fortress 2 from his heavenly perch atop the pantheon of eSports; so this is definitely a reality. We are aware Twitch isn’t some sort of cash cow, but it is an avenue we are keen to explore.

April 13th Announcement

Admirable — Friday’s journey through taste and hypertext left a lot to the imagination, so I returned today in a much more stoic fashion. Yesterday I was targeting your inner child, today I am feeding data in to your cold robotic gaming exterior; prepare for a presentation of facts that may interest you.

Tip of the Hats is the brainchild of Sean “seanbud” Stradley, the popular American streamer, Fully Torqued scout and all round nice guy. At its heart the event aims to raise funds for the remarkable One Step Camp organisation that gives children coping with cancer a chance to experience childhood and close community at camp.

At the time of my last post the totalizer was hovering around the $200 mark. As I clatter keys here today I see the total has rocketed past $2200… and the stream hasn’t even gone live yet. Stop looking all self-satisfied, Europe. This happened whilst you were asleep. I don’t think we can take credit for this one.

We might have lost to those North American hackers back in August at i46, but we can surely flex our monetary muscles today with a wave of donations. I’m issuing a challenge: double it! I want to see $4500 before the clock strikes midnight in Europe. If we come up shorter than a harbleu rocket jump, I think we might as well not bother showing up for i49.

Crack Clan analysis – Ipz versus Broder

Byte — Along with the great content coming out, Ipz has made a POV analysis of him versus Broder. This game was pre playoffs, standard pcw in which Crack Clan lost 7-3 on cp_badlands.

So for all you soldiers out there and even if you aren’t a soldier, I’d watch the insight of this guy, and see how difficult it is to play at the top of the game.

Updated at the bottom with an interview/statement by ipz-

Arie — After losing last night’s playoff match versus broder, Crack Clan is making some roster changes. Both soldier T-Mac and scout TviQ have been removed from the roster by ipz-.

cc roster

When asked about the roster change, TviQ had this to say:

TviQ: Lol retards
TviQ: :)
TviQ: was abaud time
Arie: Abaudzilla time?
TviQ: xD
TviQ: Take both
TviQ: :D

Crack Clan captain ipz- had this to say about the roster change:

Ippz: in my defense i kicked tmac accidently cause im high as a kite and i pressed on tvique twice
Ippz: yeah cc seems to be the cheater magnet
Ippz: this whole bust movie thing getting posted at the same time seems to be a funny coincidence

Is this all an elaborate troll by ipz- / Crack Clan? Is TviQ really going to get busted for cheating after all? Or did TviQ and T-Mac get kicked for different reasons altogether?

ipz- contacted us to ensure us this is not some troll move:

Arie: Today you kicked two members from your team: Newcomer T-Mac and TviQ, who has been with you since september. Why did you kick them?
Ippz: Since i am very close friends with the headadministration of etf2l they told me now a few days in advance that it would be a wise move to get some distance between crackclan and tvique and that there is a new banwave coming in within the next 7days. I know these Admins for over 3 years now and i trust them when it comes to actually giving me this advice
aparently we are talking about something like a maphack/ wallhack on his second monitor where he also was reading out his streamchat while seemingly streaming legit
there are a few demos from this season, at this time i dont know which games this happened it
but i got confirmed that there was a game vs TLR happening last season on turbine that was fishy and they found evidence of him cheating back then
T-Macs ban is really juts me beeing retarded and clicking on tviques name twice while trying to kick him. T-Mac you are still my baguette Numero Uno♥ and i readd you to the roster when the rosters get unlocked
obviously i am very diappointed at this point
but felt like making a statement now since we always had a strict no cheat policy in our cc team shown as we already turn in our own player matnun and made AnAkIn aware of fishy screenshots on servers he played on back in the days
Arie: Your organisation has been very supportive of the ‘new’ TF2 team. Going out of their way to support you guys and making your team the most interesting and easy to follow. Live streams, mumble comms, instant demos and log files. Are you worried about them dropping your team over this?
Ippz: Not really, obviously it will cause alot of buzz arround tviques persona but thats like i said why i felt i had to handle now
instead of waiting for this wave to happen and then fight it like an aephage
the team will stick together and we will still keep on providing everything we did so far – seeing all of you at i49 :)

Crack Clan Battle Report #3: The Delusions of a Potato

Admirable — “Stop spamming us with news”, they cry on ETF2L forum. Never!

Last week an ill-advised late-night live viewing of the Oscars capitulated to the sort of terrible sleep patterns that have punctuated my seemingly eternal student years. I’m not sure if I ever said I was aiming to put out Battle Reports on a weekly basis, but that was my intention, for the remainder of Season 14 at least.  So, apologies for breaking my imaginary promise, but if you want to hate someone, hate Seth McFarlane.

The extended interval has led to significantly more resources to document, so this edition will be comprised mostly of beautiful tables interspersed a few paragraphs of lorem ipsum filler about my favourite colour and which team member I have the biggest crush on. Before we get in to that I should mention that our SourceTV Relay is now at fakkelbrigade.eu:27100 courtesy of the inexhaustible generosity of Arie; our scene is truly blessed.

Whilst I’m in a slightly apologetic mood I should probably shoulder the blame for getting everyone’s hopes up in Battle Report #2 with tall pseudo-culinary tales of unlocking the secret Epsilon recipe for success. The figures below tell a different story of a rather one-sided engagement, but at least we managed to last 30 minutes on Process. And Snakewater? Let’s not talk about that.

Have you ever wondered what the “T” in  T-Mac stands for? Just a click away lies knowledge and intrigue at Crack Clan dot com.

Crack Clan Battle Report #2: The Rise of mAdmirable

Admirable — Another shameless piece of self-promotion drawing your attention to another Team Fortress 2 news source…  Torden will be spinning in his grave.

“Last week’s inaugural battle report was full of grand imagery, flowery language and blatant electioneering; a crude attempt to win you over, but I know you are all far too perspicacious to be sweet-talked by a silver-tongued Irishman two weeks in a row. Instead in the second edition you will be treated to a deeper insight to our week of training and competition, as I take you day-by-day through our games and best laid plans. Not to mention the usual tabulated feast of logs, demos, comms and videos.

If the theme of last week was getting routinely smashed by Epsilon in practise, then the theme of this week was to try and emulate what they do. The first hour of our Sunday session was devoted to a discussion on changing our style of play. Having watched a few STV demos between us and ipz- even talking at length with Epsilon’s numlocked and Mike, we felt we had deciphered at least part of their recipe for victory.

That evening we tested out our strategic adjustments against Quarantine to produce some fairly one-sided games. Whilst beating on one of the Premiership’s punching bags might be good for morale, it was perhaps not an accurate indicator as to whether or not we were moving in the right direction.”

You try to resist but your heart wants more at Crack Clan dot com.
