EMS is also known for taking quite a while and this season won’t disappoint if we take a look at the schedule:
Yesterday was the 3rd qualifier cup of the EMS played, which brings us to 13 of the 16 spots taken.
With a flawless performance eMpathy finished the cup as #1 beating RAGE.eSports in the final.
Update: Here’s a highlight from their game:
Let’s see what both teams had to say:
GibbZ:
It was pretty easy, and was fun fragging, now we’re looking for the road ahead and can’t wait to take that money.
Galant:
Qualification round was really epic for us. Our first opponent was team Eternity and we expected strong game from them, but unexpectedly for ourselves we lead the score, and it was 4:4 and about 30 seconds left, so all ppl morally were ready to play golden cup. But suddenly 11 players were surprised that last Eternity’s point was capped by baklya – no one didn’t know where he was, included 5 our players :)
Then we had smooth match vs. Bastards with golden cap, and the final game vs. eMpathy. Though they are of course more powerful and long-time team, and actually we were very glad to quaified.
Disgruntled Face Gamers gave those Bastards a hard match and so qualified as #3 for the EMS.
Mike:
Qualification was much easier than expected, we had lost to frost grandpapa on frieght in pcws but using our backup, Bash, who played really well and definately was the factor that resulted in our 5-0 victory, impresssive went smooth and an exciting colden cap loss from 5-3 down, then a nice game vs B! which went great despite us starting with 5 due to bash timing, all in all chuffed with qualification and it’s nice to qualify before the last qualifiers :)
4th and last qualifier is coming up this Sunday, 12.09.2010, 20cet. Sign Up! 3 more slots need to be filled! Where are you Mister, FakkelBrigade.. and such..!?
