From across the pond comes a breath of fresh air with a new squad for your viewing pleasures. rk- from ESEAnews catches us up:

(ESEAnews) – Though the roster has slowly been forming before our very eyes thanks to that neat little Transactions tracker, there was still no official confirmation that the infamous “coming soon” would every actually amount to anything.

But, after a whole wack of speculation and more than their fair share of GotFrag TF2 threads (may that site burn forever), The Experiment has officially been unveiled for your viewing pleasure – lineups and all! – and with a financial backer that’s been in the news lately:

The Experiment:
Medic – Brad “PYYYOUR” Ross
Demo - Tim “dummy” Olson
Scout - Adam “Reptile” Dopko
Scout - Justin “justin” White
Soldier – R “ww-” C
Soldier – Tyler “TLR” Morgan

Team Sponsor - Christina “DrChristina” Olszewski

The dedicated rk has churned up a nice interview with the prime man behind Team Fortress 2 — Robin Walker. ESEANews contacted Mr.Walker a bit back but in typical Valve fashion, the developers took their time and got back with satisfying responses. The interview is pretty long and covers a variety of topics ranging from future updates to the inclusion of additional maps. Here’s an excerpt, full interview can be read here.

I think the Spy & Sniper update was the most fun to release, and added the most to the classes it focused on. In prior class updates, we started to see the community speculate on whether the update pages were faked, and create conspiracy theories around it being the Spy update in disguise. This reached a level where we felt like they were really hoping it was true, and whenever we see the community want something that much, we want to give it to them. It also solved a slight problem for us, which was that we were always worried about the Sniper class update filling the servers with only Snipers. By adding the Sniper’s natural class counter to the same update, we made that less likely to happen.
