Signups for the 7th ESH La CompétiTF & Angel’s Ultiduo Cup close today at 18:40 CEST, so this is your last chance to signup! There is a raised prize pool of $270 (200 for 1st, 70 for 2nd), with double elimination spreading across the next three Sundays. All matches are best-of-one for this week, starting from 14:00 EDT/19:00 BST/20:00 CEST and today’s play finishing at 21:40 CEST.

For any teams who have not signed up, you can still do so here, or here for the tournament page. For the 36 teams who have signed up (so far), a quick explanation for the check-in. Check-in takes place between 18:40 – 19:40 CEST. This is done through joining #competiTF on quakenet (a web version of IRC is here) and simply saying “[teamname] checking in”. After this, all teams who checked-in will be entered into the brackets, which will be published by the first round (20:00 CEST).

Also, some quick tournament news:

GIANTS (winners of cups 1, 1.5, 2, 4, 6) won’t be participating (HarryHook has a brink tournament, Estanis is relatively inactive with tf2). Although,  .pt have entered – Haunter and Coinz – for the first time. Previous winners SMACK! (#5), runners up twice CARD (#4, #6), runners up once slow (#3) and crazelocked (#2) all enter.

Good luck to all participants!

May 17th Matches
Tagged: cup ESH La compétiTF ultiduo

The monthly Ultiduo has come back for its 7th edition, with several major improvements! Most importantly, there is a larger prize pool – first place is now $200 (not $100 like the banner says), along with a second prize, for the first time, of $70, along with in-game medals from Valve. The matches themselves will be best-of-one instead of best-of-three (except for lower bracket & grand finals), with double elimination.

The tournament is split over 3 Sundays – May 29th, June 5th & June 12th, with each day starting at 19:00 BST/20:00 CEST. Teams will need to check in on IRC (#competiTF on quakenet) between 18:40 – 19:40 CEST, as well as sign up on ESH, on May 29th, after which brackets will be made.

For more info & a full set of rules visit the ESH tournament page here, or you can sign up here.

It’s been crazy days @ the office! Meanwhile, our new corporate overlord has been putting some moneyz into an upcoming ESH tourney. Maybe they’ll have some more luck with it than full tilt poker last time! If you’re wondering if this is a sponsored message or not – don’t worry, our word is as free as ever, and if ever it wasn’t, we’d be sure to let you know! Having said that, there’s little we love more than ESH tourneys with a decent prizepool.

Cadred’s tireless workhorse, Greg already did the grunt work, and even pasted it here. Life comes easy for the lazy, here’s some text:

With both FakkelBrigade and TwistedPlay now under the Tt eSPORTS banner, Tt eSPORTS have shown an increasing interest in Team Fortress 2. So it is great news that they are taking this interest further by announcing the first in a series of cups that they will be hosting throughout the year, boasting a very respectable $500 first place prize: the Tt eSPORTS Challenge.

That however is not the only prize available. They will also be providing hardware for the runners up, in the form of the Tt eSPORTS Isurus earphones, along with Tt eSPORTS goodies that will all be given away via TF2TV, who will be streaming as much of the tournament as possible.

On top of all of this Caseking.de will also be providing something special to the Team Fortress 2 community, which will be revealed the week the tournament begins (Sunday 1st May) on the Tt eSPORTS facebook, TF2TV and here on Cadred.

The tournement will be run by ETF2L admin Crasp, with “Vanilla” rules (ie. only bluts, kritz and ubersaw). It’s a 5 day cup with room for 64 teams, starting May 1st. So, get signed up, lazyasses!

Welcome to the 6th monthly La competiTF & Angel’s Ultiduo Cup!

This time we have some changes for you. Firstly, Valve has finally released koth_badlands , the map that we have been waiting for a long time for our cup. So the first change will be the map.

Update: It turns out that, due to popular demand koth_ultiduo_r_b7 will be used after all. The reasons stated:

The spawns are not designed for ultiduo, as they can be up to 15 seconds long, as well as the players being able to re-enter spawn once leaving it, and the capture time being only 3 minutes as opposed to the normal 5 minutes to win.

Secondly, prize for our cup was increased and now the winner will grab 150$! So hurry up, we have only 64 slots in this tournament. All usefull information about the rules and schedule you can find here (and we’re playing vanilla+medlocks, yeah!).

‘Rush Poker Challenge Cup’ announced

March 2nd News
Tagged: cup ESH

Getting away from all this controversy about the ETF2L season 9 malark,  DeNeusbeer has announced a three-night cup to be hosted over at Esports-Heaven.

The cup, sponsored by Full Tilt Poker, is also boasting a decent prize pot of €1,000: 1st receiving €600, €300 for 2nd and €100 for 3rd. The map list will utilise “a mixture of well-known maps”  accompanied by a “somewhat vanilla” ruleset (vanilla + medlocks + bonk + sandwich + fish – “vanilla + med-fish-bonk-vich-locks?”).

There will be only 64 slots available for this cup, so hurry up and get signed up before they are all taken. :D Any general queries should be directed to the cup admins DeNeusbeer or Crasp who can both be found over at the ESH IRC channel (#esportsheaven on Quakenet).

You can find a detailed map list, config details and links for downloads for the custom maps on the tournament page on the ESH website.

Good luck and have fun. :)
