Leftism — Fresh from his i43 adventures, dunc has been kind enough to share with VanillaTF2 his thoughts on the biggest TF2 LAN event to date. With much to discuss, dunc’s not holding back any comments as he dives straight into the talking points. Hope you’re sitting comfortably – this is a good, long read!

dunc — ShoX and I travelled down to Telford on Friday at 10am. The 3.5 hour journey from his place of work in Darlington ended up taking (including a stop) 7 hours. Jesus Christ, I hope this LAN is going to be worth it…

Congratulations to Epsilon eSports for winning the game of the year!

Martn — It’s Sunday morning, the Team Fortress 2 tournament at the Insomnia Gaming Festival for Summer 2011 is almost over, every match has been played, except the final. By now we know  Team Dignitas came up short with it’s mix of old and new age members, ending up at the fourth place and that TCM Gaming, just like last year, ended up third place.

We also know that there have been another 44 teams eliminated, but it not about that, it’s about the final, the grand final between  Epsilon eSports and  Infused.Tt. The one question on all of our minds is: Will Infused.Tt be able to do, what Epsilon eSports almost managed to do last year?

It will, of course, be VanillaTV that will do the main coverage on i43.  Comedian,  Admirable and  CUBE will be covering all the interesting matches during the event.  BoneS and JimmyBreeze will be accompanying them with a camera to bring you the atmosphere of the LAN itself to your screen and do some interviews with the players and teams. Martn — While all the VanillaTV guys, except for  Comedian – he will arrive only 5 minutes before the tournament starts, if he has no delays, are on their way to Telford it’s time for the grand final of our epic three part series, we’re going back to i40, august 2010. It’s  Team Dignitas against  Epsilon eSports. But before we dig in, if you missed the first two parts of this trilogy, then here’s the i42 part and this is the i41 part.

Fun fact – this is the first game yours truly ever spectated and also the first encounter with 6v6.

Allright, let’s go back to the winter of 2010,  it’s i41, a tournament which despite not having the biggest turn up in the history, still had quite the exciting final. The top two contenders this time were  Twistedplay, now known as Infused.Tt and  Team Coconut, consisting of  Byte & friends.
