Torden — We’re halfway through the season, and there are still some major fluctuations going on the top end. First off, Diggy’s Punpu and Mafu seem to be heading off the Finnish power line, with a dwindling interest for the game. This move should see Hymzi back to playing demo, as he once was renowned for. Admirable once wrote the real meat in the team were Cookye, Hocz and Dajackal - Now we’ll be able to see if he’s right. In the words of cookye:

We want to be more active so we’re replacing mafu and punpu

This upcoming Dignitas cup, the team will be trialling los bandidos Longas and  Jan who were recently seen in the defunct attempt at a TCM rejuvenation. Like I’ve previously mentioned for Mister and idk? Frogs, turning single nation teams international tends to be risky, only time will tell if Dignitas can break that curse.

Meanwhile, Infused.Tt are taking their part of the TCM cake, with camel rider  Byte now expected, although unconfirmed, to join their ranks. The team will be identical to Team UK who rose to the top on last Summer’s ESL nations cup, aside from  Quad trading for Fisshu. Flushy appears to want to focus on university, he’s written an elongated statement right after the jump.

In other news, it seems idk? Black’s search for a medic has finally come to an end (so far), with the recruitment of the Swedish kukjävel,  Ceder. Yoyotech traded out Zoob, having Hat go back to soldier for main calls, and taking in  Origo as a new scout.

Psunfragga — After a quick glance at Division 1B you could be forgiven for being curious about who some of these teams are. Shake off that sleepy haze! The season is here and its return has brought about team name and roster changes with a multitude of players returning from soaking in the sun. Let’s take a closer look at the exciting matches we have been graced with in Week 1. The maps this week are cp_badlands and cp_gullywash.

The panellists for this week include:  Mar (Decerto),  Vad (Eternity),  Torden(Broder), Zappis (Illegal) and  Koeitje (CommanderX is our bitch- get a real name!)

atrox — Tonight’s game brought to you by the VanillaTV team is that of the newly acquired YoYotech pickup, formally SNSD, going head to head with hys and his idk? boys, starring the TF2 comeback of Dunc.  Whilst these two teams will be fighting it out in the semi-final of the ESL division 2 playoffs, to see who will grace division 1 with their presence next season.

Huumba — Howdy, guys

I’ve decided to start the new line of interviews at this summer. I called it “Summer Interview Madness” (just couple of words that were in my mind for no reason) . I don’t know why, but it looks awesome. In this part we’re going to talk with konr,  who has agreed on taking an interview. ETF2L’s Season 9 has kicked started this week, with Badlands and a surprising choice in Warmfront (an “improved” version of Coldfront). These teams know Badlands inside-out, but most teams have struggled to find time to practice the unfamiliar Warmfront. The map could throw some upsets, though most of the games seem to be one sided affair.

Power Gaming

Swapping medics, as Kyynel is out and DaJackal is in (leaving Refuse).

Regrettably, year 2011 marks the end of the TF2 career of Power Gaming’s trusted Medic, kyynel. He has decided to quit the game after Winter Assembly. Luckily we didn’t have to look too far for a replacement. Joining the team is Jari “dajackal” Litukka, who has previously played in other top Finnish teams such as Refuse and Imperial.

kyynel was part of the team since the very beginning, joining the team back in summer 2008, when our TF2 line-up still called themselves Interrobang. He has been an integral part of the team, both as the important support class player as well as the in-game leader after my own retirement last year. I would like to give my warm thanks to kyynel for the dedication he showed during these years. You will be missed!

A tad out of date because sleeping pills and alcohol don’t end well apparently but hopefully it’s not too late, I’ll try and do this every Friday but i’m making no promises :D It’s just a quick summary of the last week since things can be a bit hard to keep track of especially when sites don’t let teams submit results :D Lets see how it goes….
