Galant — We have launched our russian series of Night Cups right after success of Albert’s Cups during last summer. Since then every cup is gaining 16 teams, the last one – #5 called “New Year Special” (brackets) – has provided interesting games on snow maps (such as old obscure and coldfront) in chase of winning 100$. This time the 6th cup called “PreSeason” will bring again 100$ to the strongest team and games on maps from ETF2L Season 11 map-pool: cp_freight, cp_gullywash, cp_snakewater and cp_granary.

Cup will start today at 18:00 cet. Brackets will be published here.

Our american friend  Salamancer will cast all rounds on his  SalTV, and  competitf TV will mix some lovely music and insight of the game by team  ISIS as far they will proceed in this tournament.

The schedule is next for tonight:

• 19:30 cet – Semi-Finals – cp_gullywash_final1
• 20:15 cet – Final, BO3 (can be postponed on Sunday if games will delay)

After an eventful day, 3 teams remain in the 7th edition of the ultiduo cup, with $270 still up for grabs.

aylinZ (Retsh0ck & Royze) have come out best of day 2, after winning all 3 games to be in the grand final. Their quarter final game was vs pwrkele (hocz & cookye) – perhaps up against the odds. It was a close game, with approximately 30 seconds left on the clock for pwrkele as aylinZ progressed to the semi-finals.

After several teams joining at the last minute and others not checking in, there has been a total of 40 teams entering this cup. Now, however, that is down to 16, with 8 teams in both upper and lower brackets.

A couple of notable teams have dropped out before the tournament, notably SMACK! (checked in but only one was there) & crazelocked (who did not check in). For the tournament itself the most notable team to be knocked out is touchmy, but no real upsets throughout the tournament – leaving plenty of top teams left.

Signups for the 7th ESH La CompétiTF & Angel’s Ultiduo Cup close today at 18:40 CEST, so this is your last chance to signup! There is a raised prize pool of $270 (200 for 1st, 70 for 2nd), with double elimination spreading across the next three Sundays. All matches are best-of-one for this week, starting from 14:00 EDT/19:00 BST/20:00 CEST and today’s play finishing at 21:40 CEST.

For any teams who have not signed up, you can still do so here, or here for the tournament page. For the 36 teams who have signed up (so far), a quick explanation for the check-in. Check-in takes place between 18:40 – 19:40 CEST. This is done through joining #competiTF on quakenet (a web version of IRC is here) and simply saying “[teamname] checking in”. After this, all teams who checked-in will be entered into the brackets, which will be published by the first round (20:00 CEST).

Also, some quick tournament news:

GIANTS (winners of cups 1, 1.5, 2, 4, 6) won’t be participating (HarryHook has a brink tournament, Estanis is relatively inactive with tf2). Although,  .pt have entered – Haunter and Coinz – for the first time. Previous winners SMACK! (#5), runners up twice CARD (#4, #6), runners up once slow (#3) and crazelocked (#2) all enter.

The monthly Ultiduo has come back for its 7th edition, with several major improvements! Most importantly, there is a larger prize pool – first place is now $200 (not $100 like the banner says), along with a second prize, for the first time, of $70, along with in-game medals from Valve. The matches themselves will be best-of-one instead of best-of-three (except for lower bracket & grand finals), with double elimination.

The tournament is split over 3 Sundays – May 29th, June 5th & June 12th, with each day starting at 19:00 BST/20:00 CEST. Teams will need to check in on IRC (#competiTF on quakenet) between 18:40 – 19:40 CEST, as well as sign up on ESH, on May 29th, after which brackets will be made.

Welcome to the 6th monthly La competiTF & Angel’s Ultiduo Cup!

This time we have some changes for you. Firstly, Valve has finally released koth_badlands , the map that we have been waiting for a long time for our cup. So the first change will be the map.

Update: It turns out that, due to popular demand koth_ultiduo_r_b7 will be used after all. The reasons stated:

“The spawns are not designed for ultiduo, as they can be up to 15 seconds long, as well as the players being able to re-enter spawn once leaving it, and the capture time being only 3 minutes as opposed to the normal 5 minutes to win.”

Secondly, prize for our cup was increased and now the winner will grab 150$! So hurry up, we have only 64 slots in this tournament. All usefull information about the rules and schedule you can find here (and we’re playing vanilla+medlocks, yeah!).
