CommanderX – The money division comes to a close tonight with only one game remaining and it is the game between the top 2 on badlands and gravelpit, are you kidding me? You couldn’t write a better finish than this. With Angel flashing his cheque book the winner looks to be taking $600 and this can’t help but add to the already tense game.

Let’s talk match up; CIDO are currently 4 points clear. This means MIPC need to take  5 points to tie it up or 6 for the win. On the flip side that means CIDO only need 2 points to fill up their wallets. If it is a tie there will have to be a bo3 tiebreaker to decide the winner. There are no draws on gravelpit which can only add to the drama too.

Now we know the points situation let’s move onto the teams. CIDO is a team full of up and coming  Latvian talents mixed with a few top names from years gone by.  Animal,  Blind and  Destructo bring the experience to add to the raw ability of  uubers,  kinyu and  monkye. A combination that has allowed them to win all but one of their maps so far this season (The loss a close 3-2 loss to Elemental Violence). From what I have seen of their opponents they are the typical  hyper aggressive Finns and on top of that they have the one and only  Hocz, even on scout he is the danger man. Don’t forget as well it is TF2 law that if you’re Finnish you are good at gravelpit. It should be a hell of  a match and definitely worth watching.

So it is just as well we are covering it for you then! Myself and my incessant sidekick Greg will be casting this for you while your director for the evening will be the one and only  Warden. All the contact details can be found below, cuon.

Admirable — Last night we saw the Premiership get off to a punctual, yet flaccid start with the might Epsilon eSports riding roughshod over well-intentioned Tryharders in a 6-1 6-1 stompfest.  Some would say that the top level of our competitive scene is a in a state of transition, whilst others have already called the time of death, so I have set off on the hunt for some juicier fixtures for you, the loyal spectators, to feast upon.

In my daily routine of circling over VanillaTF2 and the ETF2L like some sort of  cyber vulture, waiting to peck the eyes of unsuspecting nerds on their last legs, I spotted an intriguing post from Russian millionaire-playboy-philanthropist-come-ETF2L-Admin, Angel.  In it the man behind the Ultiduo revolution, who is never scared to put his money where his mouth is, declares quite matter-of-factly that he will give $200 to the “first man who correctly predict first three places in the right order for group 2B” only to up the stakes again moments later with an additional $300 for the second person to correctly predict the outcome of Division 2B.

Only an hour old and already speculation was rife on the thread about potential match fixing and Angel had once again caught the attention of the community with his random acts of generosity, but that was not all the man with the money had to say on the matter.  A second update came thick and fast with our Russian benefactor announcing that the winner of Division 2B would now receive $600, again from his own pocket!  When forumites inquiries moved to gain some insight to his motives, he offered up the following:

Faint — Some Wireplay Season 9 action for you guys tonight as  The MIPC Organization takes on  Quarantine in their Division 1 week 6 fixture.

Both teams have had similar results against the other teams in division 1 Wireplay, making this a game to watch. A win and a draw for Quarantine would see them on top of the table just above         yoyotech, whereas a similar result for MIPC would see them shoot up to 2nd/3rd with a couple of games in hand over their rivals.

Tune in to VanillaTV Open Mic at 20:15 CEST to see the game unfold live, where  Comedian on the cast/stream will be joined tonight by Ramown – you can also catch us on Quakenet in #vanillatv. See you there!
