Galant — The last Russian offline tournament happened this April in the scenic city of St.Petersburg – you can refresh your memory with this post on Vanilla and re-live the LAN by watching these highlights brilliantly produced by bon. Half a year ago RAGE.eSports took the 1st place prize by defeating O’RLY in epic 3-map-with-golden-cap grand final on freight, granary and lovely “Russian map” cp_well.

Now it is time to tell you about our upcoming TF2World.ru LAN #3. This time we have moved the venue to Moscow and it will run from 4-5th of November. Once again 16 teams will fight during the two days; first during the group stage on Friday, and then the top 2 from each group will make up 8 teams, who will play double elimination in bo3 format during all the Saturday.

Made for the Sapphire Tek-9 Movie contest, this incredibly slick movie features the Russian team – XEN. Directed by grid. Check it out below, aside from some minor color issues, the movie is a blast – featuring some impressive 3D visuals and great frags.

Yesterday it was a great day for TF2 in St.Petersburg, Russia.

Although there were not so many grand teams on St.Pete LAN, we saw some really breathtaking matches.

LOL Team and CarpeD are already in play-offs and are waiting for their opponents from 3rd group – “death group”.

Okey, so here we are! In this post I’ll try to tell you interesting information about the upcoming St.Petersburg LAN and will respond to the questions posed in comments on the first post.

At first, here are the final roster of the attending teams (I also will add some words about teams’ line-ups).

While Euro players have had a couple of nice LANs recently in UK and in France, here in Russia we are waiting for LAN in Moscow.

• The details:
• 2,200 euro (+-) prize pool
• May 8th, one day marathon from 10am to 11pm.
• Maps: badlands, granary, yukon, gullywash, freight, turbine, well, obscure (rc3) and gravel pit
• Rules: Similar to ETF2L

It will be 2nd LAN which will brought to all Russian speaking TF2 community by the biggest community portal – TF2World.ru. With the Russian TF2 League Season 3 just over, this LAN has 10 teams who qualified by playing the league.The 6 remaining slots solved by a competition between other teams and mixes.

Out of the 16 slots, we can find some well known teams from the European leagues:

• Unexist (ems)
• chaotic community | black (d2 etf2l)
• Eternity (d3 etf2l)
• Only Rockets Love You (d3etf2l)
• Yummy Elite Sausages (d3 etf2l)
• RageQuit (d3 etf2l)

Unexist and iG are seen as big favourites to play the finals, with strong results in ESL and ETF2L respectively. But, its going to be a close race, and as we all know, playing at lan is very different from playing at home.
