Galant — We have launched our russian series of Night Cups right after success of Albert’s Cups during last summer. Since then every cup is gaining 16 teams, the last one – #5 called “New Year Special” (brackets) – has provided interesting games on snow maps (such as old obscure and coldfront) in chase of winning 100$. This time the 6th cup called “PreSeason” will bring again 100$ to the strongest team and games on maps from ETF2L Season 11 map-pool: cp_freight, cp_gullywash, cp_snakewater and cp_granary.

Cup will start today at 18:00 cet. Brackets will be published here.

Our american friend  Salamancer will cast all rounds on his  SalTV, and  competitf TV will mix some lovely music and insight of the game by team  ISIS as far they will proceed in this tournament.

The schedule is next for tonight:

• 18:00 cet – Round 1 – cp_freight_final1
• 18:45 cet – Round 2 – cp_snakewater
• 19:30 cet – Semi-Finals – cp_gullywash_final1
• 20:15 cet – Final, BO3 (can be postponed on Sunday if games will delay)

This weekend – 9-10th April – there was the DSC #4 TF2 LAN in St.Petersburg, Russia. I want to remind that we had 16 teams on this event:

Today @ 20:00 cet the Final of La compétiTF and Angel’s Cup will be played! O’RLY will meet UV-Gaming on koth_Viaduct and cp_freight.

The full brackets can be found here. In Semi Finals UV-Gaming have played vs. ze Dummkopfs. And O’RLY have won vs. RAGE.eSports on new cp_coldfront_update3 and cp_gullywash. You can watch some amazing Highlights from that match here:

Besides the new updated coldfront, this Cup has one important addition: all unlocks are allowed. The only restrictions are: Heavy limit = 1 and Wrangler limit = 1. So I hope we will watch very interesting game tonight with “Milk” and “Gloves of running urgently”.

While Euro players have had a couple of nice LANs recently in UK and in France, here in Russia we are waiting for LAN in Moscow.

• The details:
• 2,200 euro (+-) prize pool
• May 8th, one day marathon from 10am to 11pm.
• Maps: badlands, granary, yukon, gullywash, freight, turbine, well, obscure (rc3) and gravel pit
• Rules: Similar to ETF2L

It will be 2nd LAN which will brought to all Russian speaking TF2 community by the biggest community portal – TF2World.ru. With the Russian TF2 League Season 3 just over, this LAN has 10 teams who qualified by playing the league.The 6 remaining slots solved by a competition between other teams and mixes.

Out of the 16 slots, we can find some well known teams from the European leagues:

• Infernal Gamers (d2 etf2l)
• RAGE.MULTIGAMING (d2 etf2l)
• Unexist (ems)
• chaotic community | black (d2 etf2l)
• Eternity (d3 etf2l)
• Only Rockets Love You (d3etf2l)
• Yummy Elite Sausages (d3 etf2l)
• RageQuit (d3 etf2l)

Unexist and iG are seen as big favourites to play the finals, with strong results in ESL and ETF2L respectively. But, its going to be a close race, and as we all know, playing at lan is very different from playing at home.

With the fall of Empire just after playing 1 season 7 game, inevitably there would be some players wanting to play more.

Considering Kondor‘s imminent release from his ban sentence, and the myths surrounding Russian scouts, it may seem a surprise to many that these guys want to stray from their Russian path. Secure sources, also says that Dutch poindexter Koeitje (currently in PENTIA) has been asked to trial. Who knows, maybe Techtron will be interested?

One thing is certain – with the claims of div1, there’s nothing lacking in the self esteem department. Good luck to them all!
