Massive thanks to Tragicservers.com for providing four servers that will be used by the teams to play their desired matches in this tournament.
Byte — Tonight BFF will play their first official in Season 18, due to rockit wildcarding week 1. The roster looks weird but also talented and experienced. With the likes of kaidus and Zebbosai dictating the game play and quality with Mirelin and Stark adding more +xp bonus to the team, all eyes will be on fl1p (I coming :3) and Knutsson.
Question is, will they be able to bridge the gap of being or playing for top 4 in ETF2L compared to the other members in the team.
Lazy pandas on the other hand have nothing to lose going into this, the fact that they are competing in prem should give them a hope and try attitude. With them already playing their week 1 official vs 4-25 and losing badlands 5-0 and narrowly losing gullywash 4-3, they’ll be looking to steal some points off BFF.
Having the experienced zoob and Hildreth may not be enough to dent or leave a bad taste with BFF.
Byte — Second week into the ETF2L Season 18 and it looks to be an exciting match between these two teams. Very contrasting in terms of team semantics. With rockit forming very late before signs up closed, that cheeky Irishman Admirable decided to tally along and be the veteran medic and guide his team to the playoffs.
rockit are yet to play any games, after they wildcarded their week 1 game versus BFF, playing their debut game as a team in prem tonight should set up the scene very well against the russians.
GGWP.pro who have already played and lost 6-0 against arguably the hardest team in prem this season Epsilon E-sports. While they know it was a long shot to win, I’m sure some of them will be glad they got this game out of the way so the team can build momentum.
Key players to look out for GGWP.pro will be Forsak3n and ShaDoWBurn pairing, after hitler Forsak3n learning after me, and kicked msh, he had a few words to say about how he feels going into this match.
Medic – Admirable
Demoman – WARHURYEAH
Soldiers – hocz and qnx
Scouts – smzii and cookye
Medic – whiteglow
Demoman – gdk
Soldiers – Forsak3n- and ShadowBurn
Scouts – reko and atomic

Over on TeamFortressTV it’s Britain, Britain, Britain casting with Jon, CommanderX and Sideshow
Byte — Looking to start off coverage of the ETF2L Season 18 Week 1 game between them super and lovable Swedes Saints, making a debut into prem, the odds are stacked against them, as their opponents are having a second run in prem. The experience and pace of what it takes to compete and make a mark in prem is definitely in favour for skeejs team.
Both teams will be looking to set the standard up and grasp the “easy points” from this game. Smiree, will have his work cut out as a fellow swede Ryb , the master of granary will be looking to dictate the middles and give fenneks that edge and momentum into the second map.
Hildreth — Who would have thought this time last year when SNSD were adding shelves to their growing trophy cabinet that India would be the new superpower in European Highlander? Well I may be perhaps exaggerating the influence of the sub-continent country but alas, a team bearing the international flag with their long standing esteemed nayakPancake took the ETF2L crown and established themselves as the current best team in Europe. I am of course talking about Kill Switch who claimed this accolade with a win over Highpander in a DDOS affected Final and earning themselves a hefty 500 Euros to convert into rupees and pay their multi-national roster. 3rd placed side Itsallgood arguably gave Kill Switch a harder game than the final itself as they narrowly lost the regular season playoff match with the champions, earning a respectable bronze whilst former champions DAROUTOUTOU and SNSD came 4th and 5th respectively. Former runners-up Parrot Gapers dropped after one match whilst, Legolas were relegated via playoffs losing to Division 1 runners-up Stacked who finished behind Chessclub Techniques, both securing a Premiership spot for this season. Finally Sookie Doing Work, finishing 6th place did secure themselves another season in the top flight however amid some roster troubles they have folded and this leaves one spot available in the Premiership for Season 6.
So there you have a quick recap of Season 5 and how it impacts season 6’s proceeding, ultimately we have seen a rise in a “new generation” of teams in Europe with some of the old guard being knocked off the top and the rest being succumbed to history. The result of this is nothing short of fantastic, as between seasons we have seen the new established top teams building, the former champions reshaping their rosters to rise back to glory and new additions to Prem coming in with ambitions beyond avoiding relegation. To make up the numbers, the newest addition to ETF2L Prem is a challenge like no other for our resident European teams, the challenge of the Americans in the form of current UGC Platinum leaders Electric Temptations putting out a side to try and snatch the intercontinental cash monies. Speaking of money, the prizes they are all fighting over will be a €1000 prizepool thanks to another anonymous donation (this league is floating with charitable rich sponsors) and courtesy of TteSports by Thermaltake, nine sexy Tt BLACK Gaming Mice will be won and handed out to the winning team alongside their slice of €500, with second place settling for €350 and third place getting to share €150 euros.
Excited? No?! What if I told you Admirable was playing Medic this season for one of the teams? Convinced now? I thought so…onwards to the previews!
Natural — In a time of ever-growing European unity, where even the French speak English to a somewhat understandable degree, the room for national belonging would appear to be slight. Indeed, the current trend is one of internationalisation with little room for the conservative conformism of being defined by one’s nationality. We are all European citizens as well as citizens of the world.
This not only holds true in the everyday lives we lead, it is also a factor when we play TF2 competitively. Whenever we go on IRC to find a game, it is an international environment. Every time we play a match, we are likely to square off against a multitude of nationalities. However, the pluralism of cultures does not only apply to our in-game foes: Even our own team mates are often going to be natives of other countries than the one we hail from. While I recognise the necessity for team diversity within a community that essentially isn’t very large, I also feel that the lack of single-nationality rosters is a shame.
byte — Another premiership action packed night, with TLR on a roll, can they make it 3 match wins in a row, or will the ‘desperately needing points’ decerto be able to steal all 6 points!
The subtle difference tonight will be how well the scouts can focus fire on what the demomen do, with big boy Hildreth outputting so much damage on average will the scouts be able to focus fire and destroy the enemy?
A win tonight for decerto will help them dramatically to avoid the relegation playoff’s, and aid them to stay in prem for next season.
