Trell — The time is upon us – or will be in a matter of mere hours.  Insomnia gaming festival has come around once again, and the usual precursor to the larger Summer installment is once again showing some love to our favourite FPS.

 Tapley is once again your tournament host, with up to 4,800 GBP in the prize pool, as well as highly coveted i46 tickets for the eventual winners.  If, like me, you’re missing out on attending, don’t worry, because we have you covered.  On site streaming will be provided by  Comedian, with  Pledge,  Byte,  CUBE and Bones inside the lan as part of our coverage team.  I’ll be reporting as much as I possibly can via articles too – so you don’t feel left out.

The tournament is scheduled to start at 6pm local time (so 7PM CET) on the Friday with the group stages, the elimination stages on Saturday, and the Grand Final on stage at 1pm on the Sunday.

My father, Manfred, works as an electronics technician. He is happily married with Jutta, who works as a housewife. They have two children, a daughter and a son – me.

Califax — As most of you guessed correctly, Crack Clan’s very own  Gabriel “Longás” Longás was the one answering the questions in The Guess-Who-Interview #1.

Some of you have suggested this first one was a bit easy, but again, the goal is not to make it extremely hard on you guys. Though I can’t promise they won’t be more difficult in the future… ^^

Tell us, who is your father, who is your mother? 

My father is called Allan and is a nearly-retired Librarian. My mother is called Lesley and she’s a Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. They’ve been married for nearly 35 years. I have one sister, who is married and has recently had a baby, so I’m now an uncle and a godfather!

Trath — It was supposed to be yet another regular Sunday, but then out of the blue Team Dignitas – the organization, not the team (there is no team) made an announcement: they will be hosting a 1 day cup for TF2, which being kindly sponsored by Alienware, means cash prizes. Sui – the guy that lets you know of all sorts of Dignitas related news on IRC, casually spilled out the announcement that there is a TF2 cup, and linked to a page with specifics. You can check out the Cup page, filled with all information needed such as how to sign up, cup rules, what to do on game day, etc – here.

Califax — I have always been someone who is interested in the people behind the pixels. Where do they come from? What do they do outside of gaming? And, where do they wish to go in the future? So, hoping I am not the only one, I’ve decided to start a new interview series, and the title kinda says it all…

In the coming weeks I will be publishing interviews, that go a little deeper on a personal level, with well-known members of the TF2 community, without mentioning who is answering the questions. It’s up to you guys, to figure it out! When I publish the next interview, I will confirm who the previous interviewee was.

The goal for these interviews is for everyone to get to know these individuals a bit better, not to make it super hard on you guys to guess who it is, as my expectations for this community are rather high (even the trolls), so i know you guys will figure out who the interviewee actually is quite fast.

Javier is the name of my father and he is teacher in a highschool, my mother is Carmen and she works in the department of customer service for the government. They are still happily married and I hope that won’t change in the future.

Leftism — Some late afternoon highlander action for you folks as Reddit host their third European edition of their “Round Robin” challenge. VanillaTV will be covering the action with Comedian and Hildreth on the mic. Because our Dutch friend was out “getting busy” the night before, we were not able to cover the group stages. Coverage will go on from now until the final which is scheduled for 20:00CEST.

Other highlander action on tonight include Spanish super-star team 27 against the well established highlander team colony. There are other division 1 matches scheduled tonight but they all appear to be default dates and match comments suggest they’re not being played tonight.
