(ESEAnews) – Though the roster has slowly been forming before our very eyes thanks to that neat little Transactions tracker, there was still no official confirmation that the infamous “coming soon” would every actually amount to anything.

But, after a whole wack of speculation and more than their fair share of GotFrag TF2 threads (may that site burn forever), The Experiment has officially been unveiled for your viewing pleasure – lineups and all! – and with a financial backer that’s been in the news lately:

After the split between TLR and Marco alongside his all German team mates they have been on the search for a new organisation. Which, today has been finalised! Made In Germany, EX-TLR have become part of the massive organisation that is Blight-Gaming!

After parting ways with TLR I’ve been busy talking to various orgs being interested in my TF2 team, but James has stubbornly been messaging me for several weeks, if not months and came up with an offer of support we couldn’t resist. Future plans and projects were discussed and we have no doubt this will lead to something big. Blight-Gaming (as you can see already) will expand over to Europe and we’re very happy to be a part of it.

You can already see it on the right column,  Aves joined TLR. For those who lived under a polygonal stone the past year, Aves/andy is the beast who reaped havok (pun intended) back in the day with Clan00, Trademark Gamers/TCM and most recently, Team Rockit. I got in touch with TLR clan leader Mvp to learn more:

Torden: Viqun left for austria, Aves got bored with the bar, you combined 1 + 1?
Mvp: Aves moved to Vienna for studying. So hes more often av again and so i took the chance.
Torden: what about viquie?
Mvp: Well.. hes going to austria for 4 months for skiing and we have no idea about his inet being a.) av and b.) being good enough to play. Its very unlucky for viqun. But we had a meeting and made a decision
Torden: the fucker is going to ski for 4 months, i wouldn’t be too beaten up about it
Mvp: As I’m responsible for the team i had to take action, as aves was pimped by various other teams afaik

Torden: Is bash doing main scout now, then?
Mvp: Yes, Bash and Aves

Torden: whats the deal with flix? gonna keep him?
Mvp: Ronny is back from his trip. So no, ronny stays medic. Flix did good though, so i keep him in mind whenever i need a medic :P

Torden: Don’t you feel bad for Rockit now? 3rd time folding before div1…
Mvp: They folded 6 weeks ago. But overall, yes.. rockit as an org is very unlucky with their teams. But I heard they soon get a new tf2 team! So good luck to rockit :P
Torden: Juicy, they already got one in mind?
Mvp: Yes, afaik they are in talkings

That’s right, last week the skeptical ETF2L Experimental Ordanance Cup went underway; the rules as the name suggests, being experimental – all unlocks being allowed, and stranger still, in each game both teams were forced to use at least 2 unlocks from a set list – the aim being to test out some of the more frowned upon unlocks, and hopefully receive feedback to possibly have an effect on which items are used in the upcoming cups and seasons. Tonight the cup was wrapped up, with the final of the high bracket being played.

Similar to the Monday Night Madness hosted in the spring by ETF2L, the cup had 2 separate brackets; low and high with 32 teams in each, for all those unaware, this (ideally) gives the lower skilled teams a chance to enjoy themselves in a cup where they won’t be immediately out of their skill depth, but also increases the chance that the top teams may encounter a challenge perhaps early on!
Despite the small amount of Division 1 teams in the higher bracket, perhaps due to it having short notice on a Wednesday evening, and no prizes, thankfully TLR signed up, raising the bar of the higher bracket considerably higher!

That looks to have just about wrapped up the first Experimental Ordanance Cup…opinions?

As we’re half through the qualifier cups already it’s time to give you some heads-up.
With TCM-Gaming, Team Dignitas, Epsilon Gaming and PowerGaming placing in the top 4, they made huge cash and also got an invite to the upcoming EMS season 7.

So who will be the 12 missing teams?

The first qualifier kicked off last Tuesday allowing 3 teams to get their tickets for the final tournament.
Peace and Love and To Be Announced took their chance with a win streak straight to the final, which means nothing less than being qualified.

qualification was pretty easy. only first round against pentia took like 15mins but after that we broke their backbone and got 4 rounds fast. final wasn’t played because players needed to go sleep (it was like 00:00 in winland when 3rd round was over)

PENTIA had to deal with unexist and they succeeded.

I am very happy that we got qualified to ems, I hope we will finish maybe 2nd place in our table and I wish everyone good luck

Yesterday the 2nd qualifier cup has been played and we have the next 3 teams participating in the EMS.
The Last Resort and unexist took their chances to go unbeaten into the final, which wasnt played due to the fact of CBA-ness.

I’m so thrilled. ESL/EMS is probably the best league/cup, so this was a major step for us.

Also the new team of Refuse managed to achieve their spot.

We would’ve expected nothing less but to qualify. The loss to unexist was unfortunate, but boy are those ruskies beastly at granary. We’ll be looking forward to playing them again in EMS.
