The winner of tonight’s match progresses into the Grand Final, while the loser drops down to the Lower Bracket finals to face Team Spain, and gain another chance at reaching the Grand Final.

With stefan currently without the benefit of internet, it seems that Germany will have to find a merc for tonight, however, UK are in the same boat, with Greg jetsetting off a million miles around the world thanks to his work.  I did advise him to say he couldn’t go due to representing his country in TF2, but I don’t think he felt that was an appropriate thing to say to his bosses.

The (allegedly) ‘greatest scout in TF2©’, nVc will be mercing for Team UK, I am reliably informed, in place of Greg.

Ensure you tune in to what should be an explosive match, with both teams fighting to show that football isn’t the only thing that they can fail spectacularly at!

Tuesday night saw an exciting lineup of three games in ESL’s Country Championships.  With the tournament at the Playoff stages, it switched from the original group format to a double elimination setup.

We saw  Finland fall from grace at the hands of a revitalised  Spanish team,  Germany rolling all over Sweden, and a fun, close game between  Portugal and  Latvia.

Summary

This match has been hugely anticipated – with the winner of this getting to represent the United Kingdom in the ESL Country Championships, along with a massive amount of bragging rights.

Seeing numlocked step into what has come to be known as “Byte’s team” must’ve been a boost for the entirety of Team UK1 – numlocked has been playing really well since coming back to TF2, dishing out so much damage since joining Button Bashers it was unreal.

Pre match talk from honeymustard and minimoose commentating was mainly based around the fact that joske was playing scout – the consensus seemed that UK2 were putting themselves at a disadvantage by putting him up against the scout team of Greg and fisshu – who honeymustard stated had been playing decently recently.
