As AsiaFortress restructures itself and prepares for the new season, a 3 day Mercs cup has been announced. The cup will run through from April 8-10th (Yes, a weekend) and will feature a team cap of eight. Six teams so far have signed up, so if you feel like playing in Asia this weekend, you better act fast! The entry for each team is a Reclaimed Metal and the winning team will be get away with all the metals. The cup will be vanilla with only Kritzkrieg and skin changes allowed (Holy Mackerel etc.) the match fixtures and elimination format will be announced soon.

A no-frills 3 day vanilla cup. It does not require any commitment other than a couple of hours off your weekend. It does not require any long standing stable teams with your best friends. It does not care for complicated procedures. And it most certainly does not give a shit about your unusual hats.

The event promises to be a fun showing as heavyweights such as FML (Featuring an all-star Australian team), Thanatos (Featuring top Korean and Japanese players) and the newcomers – Masterful have joined in the action.

Flai Gaming have decided to organize another Team Fortress 2 tournament at 17.3.2011 @ 19.30CET->.  Sign up with your team/mix now, there are still quite many slots free! And if needed Flai Gaming has a server or two to use in the cup. The cup will be played as a 16 team’s bracket OR if there are enough teams then 32 team’s bracket.

In terms of visits we are still growing. This Tuesday was our most active day yet, with 2,249 visits. That’s close to a double from Tuesday 3 weeks ago. Total amount of visits: 33,252, out of those, 5,093 are absolute unique. More comprehensive statistics can be seen within the article.

We’re extremely happy to see contributors helping out, and providing information we otherwise would not have been able to include. -Be it French Lan, Div5 report, or interviews with interesting people. Some people even helped with drafting out “top matches tonight”. -That warms this editor’s heart!

Also, it’s great to see such unrelated curiosities like “the relativity of light” provoking some highly entertaining discussions. -Along with many other entertaining discussions being made on certain other posts.
