It’s no secret that certain staff members on this site have been positively curious to see more of what Viaduct can offer. Tonight’s Monday Night Madness is now done, with Broder racing to the top, after a very aggressive and tight final again TLR.
We went on to ask the 4 semi finalists what they thought about the map.
It’s something new, and we enjoyed it. Dunno tho if its good for a league map. I’d like to see it as a decider map –

Fast paced, a bit sniper friendly but can be countered – still you can see very far and be very safe from some places… maybe a bit disturbing. until teams get proper tactics and experience on the map its gonna suck for the medic :P its quite easy to suicide from mid on attacking teams. Also, there are too many objects to get stuck on for a jumping soldier.Overall I enjoyed it. was a nice change and very fast paced. Can see it in s8 rather than maps like turbine, Coldfront or whatever maps are on the same list as viaduct as possible candidates. In my opinion, the love the Americans have for this map should be enough. Their experience is more worth than a one night cup. For us it was more team deathmatch :P –
Sneis, Broder (In fairness, it should be known that
Weqo did not like the map)
It was a very enjoyable map, with nice, tight and hectic battles -

Durin, Team Effort
I really like the map for 6v6. It encompasses everything I love about competitive tf2, and while it can degrade down into messy deathmatching I think this is mostly just because of the tempo of the map. To succeed, a team still needs all the basic faculties they need for badlands, granary, gpit etc, they just have to be able to think and move at a higher pace than they’re used to. If the map were to be played more, and teams became more comfortable on it. I can see it becoming the next Freight or Gullywash in terms of popularity despite being a new edition to the pool. –
