VanillaTF2

Today we see one of the most promising teams in Team Fortress 2 call it a day. It is WeMadeFux who have performed very well and recently entered Cadred’s Top10, but have now decided to fold.

This decision was made due to inactivity within the team and motivational issues. The team wanted to drop out of online leagues now to save their opponents a lot of rescheduling and to avoid delays. They will however still be attending i40 in full force.

WeMadeFux gave this statement to cadred:

It just didn’t seem fair to our opponents. The officials have been piling up and the chances of us fielding a team let alone a well rehearsed team were looking slim, with Nigel working overtime at the bookies due to the world cup and Josh suffering from a bad case of brokenheadsetitis. We just figured if we fold now we could still be replaced in Division 1 without too much hassle. We are all still booked for i40 and fully intend to go huge. Thanks to all our fans, we couldn’t have come this far without you.

It’s off season, and the typical time to make roster changes. We’ve already seen both TCM and Dignitas changing out their medics. Here’s a fast overview of the latest movements:

Stoic

Observant people will have spotted Daf participating in their latest pcws. This stallion has been active since the days of TFC. He’s breakthrough on the TF2 scene  came from switching scout to (a world class) soldier in Wotr/4kings a year ago. He is now fully back to the scene and should prove an important part of a stronger Stoic.

Daf: The main lineup is: Medic – Royze, Soldier – me, Soldier – Crink, Demo – Vali, Scout – Super, Scout -Rake. At the moment, the team play 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday with Sunday off) I’ll be playing at least 3 of those days, mostly 4. Jones will fill in when I can’t play

VanillaTF2: What happened to Jones? Busy chasing skirt? (he got a good score in the handsome pagant)
Daf: I’m sure chasing skirt is an integral part of it, but as I understand, he started a new job recently and is also going away traveling for a month to the States! Why would he go semi active in TF2 for that? Don’t ask me…

WeMadeFux

Another Irishman in the wind, Admirable. The former soldier of Wotr2/Coolclan (and Pentia) has now switched to medic completely, and will do his part as a working class hero in WeMadeFux. Admirable can often be found healing pickups, thriving in 2vs6 situations: “jump on them, let’s fuck them up, bro”. Admirable has formal medic training from FakkelBrigade.

VanillaTF2: A comment on Admirable joining your ranks?
Predz: uhm.I stole his Tshirt. I felt i owed him something. So I let him join

VanillaTF2: Is he main lineup medic, TopGear backup multiclass?
Predz: Yessir

VanillaTF2: Want to say something positive about his contribution to the team?
Predz: hmm. I’m probably the wrong person to ask for that. I feel I must always insult him, being Northern Irish and all.

The team will be going to i40 this summer.

The Last Resort

TLR has been in a poor state off season. When Viqun joined some weeks back, Mvp let us know of them restructuring due to scouts leaving the game. The second piece of this puzzle seems to have arrived, in the form of  Havok. This funny character was last seen inactive for the now folded Pentia. He is perhaps most remembered for his brief appearance in Imperial about a year ago. With world class meatshots and magic bullets, can he be what the team needs? Mvp/Marco explains:

Marco: We finally have our lineup for the next weeks/months, with havok and viqun as new scout couple. AAL still is around and will play until his departure around august. although there might be another change coming up in the next weeks.

The team will be  attending Summer Assembly.

Broder

Wltrs originally joined as a long time sub, has now officially joined the team.
Berserker is still on a leave of absence due to exams, but will return mid June  for full time trolling duty. Upon asking Wltrs for a comment, he says “naw :<”. The team will be seen attending Asssembly come August.

Infernal Gamers

There’s a saying of “fool me once…”, “fool me twice…” But nothing really covers “fool me 3 times”. Chatter soared through the intrawebs when it was known that Techtron joined the team for the 3rd time within a matter of months. The team recently lost 3 players, but has already gotten some replacements. We asked Zip what was going on:

VanillaTF2: Could you explain the situation? What happend? 3 people left?
Zip: Yes, 3 people left – angel, wlz and waiz. We were still together only because of Moscow Lan. In-game disagreements between players

VanillaTF2: Are you set for a stable 6 man main linueup now?
Zip: yes, we’ve got 3 new players : techtron, un1c and kondor. and we are going to participate in ubercharge tournament and AFS

VanillaTF2: This is the 3rd time Techtron joins. I know many will be wondering, why do you keep on taking him in after he left you so many times?
Zip: Because he’s a really good medic :)

VanillaTF2: Think he will stay this time?
Zip: I hope so.

• A new team, featuring  JimmyBreeze. Is it going to be active 6v6? Bam!
• Joske joins WeMadeFux (“team Stealthy” is better)
• Numlocked played an official with TCM last night. Viqun also played his first (?) official with TLR. Scoreboards here, and here (we might be mistaken, but it looks like they need more “n“s)
• Techtron keeps trucking
•  D2M, head admin of ETF2L is looking for a team
•  Havok is back to TF2, and is searching too. He was last seen in Pentia before disappearing from the scene. We’re guessing he’s still living somewhere near the end of the world.
