• D1: TCM won, and is now at 29 points – 4 points after Dignitas. Their last match is against TLR on Freight and Gorge. Idk are 3 points after Dignitas, and are playing their last on Granary and Gorge vs FakkelBrigade.
• D2B Rockit beat Mister, and is now ready for div1. Congratulations! Mister secured 2nd, and will get the chance for a playoff game
• D2A: Broder beat Pentia 6-0, meaning Special Attack needs to do the same on Sunday, on Granary and Gorge. If they do that, Broder and SpA will play a final game to decide who wins d2a

ETF2L season 7

The season is officially pronounced to end on Sunday April 25th. To our knowledge, no exceptions are made, and teams not playing their matches are looking at getting stinged by the premise of 0-0 default.

Quite a few matches have yet to be played,  and with only tonight and Sunday remaining as proper playdays, it’s gonna be a race to the finish. So, stuff your granma in a room, put a leash on that dog, give your (imaginary) girlfriend a dildo, and get ready – The beginning of the season finale starts tonight!

Even more so, div2b will in fact be decided right here tonight. Exciting times!

FakkelBrigade 0 vs 6 TCM-Gaming

FB are out of the dance in terms of challenging the top3. But, with both this and the match against idk, FB are in the unique position to dictate who wins the season. Dignitas, idk and TCM are extremely close, and TCM needs a minimal of a map win and a draw. FakkelBrigade proved against www last week, they can bring surprises to Gravel Pit. While TCM may be favourites, FB keeps showing they won’t give anything (including who gets Red on badlands) for free.

This is viewed by many as the division 2b season finale, with arguably the 2 strongest teams in their group fighting it out. But, let’s not forget, iG are trailing behind with only 3 points less. Any sharing of points, will give iG the opportunity to either land on the same points, or even win the division. Both Rockit and Mister have proved to be formidable teams, including Mister’s easy win vs Broder on Gullywash this week. Everything sign leads to this becoming a very tight game.

Broder 6 vs 0 Pentia

While pentia has a theoretical chance achieving the same max points as SpA and Broder, they would have to win both this and vs SpA on Sunday for that to happen. However, Pentia are still in an important position to influence who wins d2a. Unfortunately, things have turned sour, as SpA denies to comment on allowing Penta to use a merc or not. Broder, on the other hand has already accepted the use of Pentia mercs, which makes for a debate on how to get a fair settlement for the teams involved. Some parts of this debate can be seen on the Pentia vs SpA match page. Who is right or wrong can of course be debated, but we hope this can be solved in a way that let’s the game decide who wins the division, and not politics. Time is ticking, as this first match is scheduled for tonight.

As mentioned in the Mister/Rockit match sheet above, iG has a golden opportunity. If they win both maps, they will be 3 points ahead of Mister and Rockit, before their last game. That means Rockit and Mister needs 4 points or more, in order to secure a group win. If they draw on both maps, iG has the chance to end up ahead. But, Blame are no pushovers either, and they’ve served surprised on Gravel Pit earlier in this season. But, the guaranteed winners here, is the spectators!

In this blog’s very beginning, we brought to you some news on the possible formation of a new British team forming, lead by  TopGear. The founder of Wotr,  Xman was reported to have some involvement too (unconfirmed). 3 weeks have passed with seemingly no new movements. But, tonight, that trend has changed, with new players to the mix. They were spotted playing vs Broder earlier tonight, and tips from “fans” soared in. Fakenicks and fake accounts did little to help. Nice try boys. (For the record, most of the fakenickers have been verified by steamID.)

Numlocked was reported to be using a fake account, under the name “Maz” – Protip (if you’re trying to stay anonymous), don’t do taunts, talking, and stickytraps identifiable to only one person in Europe. We wish the team good luck, and are happy to see people forming new groups, instead of centralizing skills to 4 teams.

Yesterday we brought you with some insight in the direction of the players on the www roster. Today, we bring you with some more news on the matter:

Evil - The 17 specs at last night’s Broder vs TCM could observe Haunter stating something along the lines of “I wish I could step down from competitive gaming, or at least chill in the lower divisions” (note: not a direct quote, feel free to correct us). Can it be that Evil is actually in consideration for replacing Haunter? As for Coinz’ glass table, it is now confirmed he broke it, but it was not the whole table – but a glass plate covering his table. Feel free to take pics, Coinz. Obrigado.

Wltrs – Has now added a player recruitment post on ETF2L. Good luck in snagging him!

Predz – Is considering his options. When he was asked if he was keen on joining idk? he responded: “Probably. Unless some LAN team asks me to join.  Jh pointed out that they’re looking to attend either i40 or Assembly, with the team’s newfound wealth from the ESH cups. Will this mean the true identity of  Batman finally will be shown to the public?

Jones – Is considering/being considered to join his former teammate Super, in his new team. -As posted here a couple of weeks ago.

Dunc – Is currently wearing a Knights avatar on steam.

Bash –  When asked what he’s gonna do says “who knows, hanging around, playing Star Craft 2″. The game is expected to be out this Summer.

As for the team itself, Jones confirms that they are going to finish the season before calling it quits. We offer our condolences for the incoming death of the team, that shall forever be remembered as “that team that never had a real name”.

In other news (from yesterday), Stealthy has indeed posted a player recruitment post on ETF2L. This player, once claimed to be the best ever to grace TF2 shouldn’t be running into too many problems finding offers from teams. Who knows, maybe TCM will grab him, and we’ll be right back to the year of 2008.

Joke or no joke, It’s depressing to see something as (lets be honest) unimportant as TF2 will lead to certain people lying, with the unbelievable bigotry of accusing the other part for lying. What Women Want are at the stage of emergency, and like every fall of a top team, the former competitors are keeping close eyes.

As confirmed by Slick, they’ve wished to get Predz back ever since he left them before the season (to join www). This would mean a reunion with Jh, resurrecting the scout duo that raged mayhem a year ago in WotR.  Idk has also mentioned their interest in  Wltrs and  Vaxjö. According to Slick, the alleged CoolClan reunion is a joke. Shame, everybody loves CoolClan.

TCM aren’t resting on their laurels either.  Evil has been spotted doing some serious talk to TCM-manager,  Xman. Anonymous sources have confirmed to us, that those talks were indeed a clan proposal. Meanwhile, rumor tells a story about Coinz shattering his glass table mid game, due to an arguement with Haunter. Yaouch, serious biz, TF2. Evil contacted us personally, curious to why we would ask Skinnie if Evil was gonna merc for them (as seen in last night’s top matches):

Word has yet to be heard about what Jones and  Bash are doing, but one could expect bash to be focusing on Star Craft 2. At any rate, a fold has not been announced yet, and we commend the team for keeping getting strong results on ESL and ETF2L. In other news, former TCM-stars,  Light and Stealthy have been spotted playing several mixes lately. One could only hope they find the time and interest to get back to this wonderful game of ours.

In an unconscious effort to bump down the terrible interview earlier today, we present you with even more news. Suni joined the team who takes pride out of making funny(…) team names. This may not come as a surprise for people who has followed the team’s ESL profile (or been aware of their main medic’s heal embargo), but considering the fact that they now added him to the ETF2L roster, it seems worthy a mention.

They even used him in the win vs Frogs last night. Wether this is a temp, a full position, or the beginning of the end, remains to be seen. Meanwhile,  Dunc has been spotted talking about a div3 team he is working on. If this is a joke or not is unclear, but if it is based on fact, one could expect him to be referring to the Knights reunion previously mentioned on this site.

We wish them all good luck, and congrats to Suni for his first steps into the limelight.

A few of you have picked up on the lack of stability in the star lineup of  What Women Want. Inside sources tell the story of Dunc being highly vocal in his discouragement of the team “under performing” vs “lesser” opponents. As well as Jones agitated from being verbally abused over a long period of time. To make the pain worse, a hit to the team’s ego with the losses to FB, as well as an overall lack of motivation due to getting tired of the game.

With this is mind, looking at the steam profile of Wltrs gives a strong indicator that the fold might be imminent, and that indeed Coolclan is coming back! Furthermore, his old scout buddy Vaxjö‘s steam profile shows the same promise – with him going back to his old coolclanian name, “Pizza”. One would think that this might have connection to the “Second to last” team found on ETF2L last week.
